Antique Regency Mahogany Round Tiered Side Table Buffet Server Stand Folding Shelves

Description

A very elegant antique Regency mahogany round tiered side table of excellent colour and proportion. The two circular tiers are supported by a turned central column and raised on a shaped tripod base, giving the piece a refined and balanced appearance typical of the period.

The top and lower tiers are both hinged, allowing them to fold down neatly when not in use. This makes it particularly practical, offering a full circular serving surface when open while also functioning as a compact space saving piece when closed.

The circular design allows access from all sides, making it ideal as a serving table or drinks stand. The tiered arrangement provides useful surface space while maintaining a relatively small footprint within a room.

Originally used in dining rooms as a serving stand, these pieces acted as an early form of buffet, holding dishes, drinks and tableware during meals. Today it works perfectly as a tiered side table, buffet server, bar stand or occasional table, making it highly versatile for modern interiors.
