Dating to the 19th Century and probably made in England, or if not certainly in Europe, this red and gold painted two drawer lowboy or side table stands on swept cabriole legs ending in pad feet. The top features scenes of trees, a pagoda, a snow capped mountain, with a geometric border.
The drawer fronts and sides, fishing scenes, another pagoda, trees, flowers and foliage.
The painted surface has craquelure across most of the top and there has been some conservation in the past but the whole has been waxed recently and is stable.
