Here we have a rare and outstanding early 18th century Oak box settle c1720. As you can see the settle has great colour and patina. There is a broad chip carved top rail with solid Oak ends made from single planks. The seat is a box section with lid and original hand forged strap hinges. The original sprung Iron lock and original key are in place. There are wonderful fielded panels to the front and chip carved decoration. There are original sledge feet to the base.
