Superb 19th-Century Satinwood Sheraton-Style Occasional Wine Table

Brief Description:

A superb quality 19th-century satinwood occasional wine table, beautifully made in the elegant Sheraton style and displaying particularly attractive decorative detail.

The circular satinwood top is finely decorated with painted floral and foliate garlands, enclosed within contrasting line borders, with a delicate ribbon motif and decorative banding around the outer edge.

The table is raised upon an elegant tapering fluted central column, incorporating a beautifully carved and reeded urn-shaped section, before terminating in a graceful tripod base with swept legs.

The warm golden colouring of the satinwood, together with the delicate painted decoration and refined proportions, gives the table a wonderfully elegant appearance.
