Description

Circa 1900. Probably made by one of the few arab tribes within the province.

With the scarcer so named mother and child or mother and daughter pattern in the form of botehs. Light salmon red field colour.

Attractive later rebound side bindings in typical coloured arab fashion.

All over low even pile with minor even wear.. All ends and sides secure. Hand washed and de-dusted.

Attractive rug with a scarce pattern.

Size is 5 foot 3 inches by 3 foot 10 inches. 160cm by 117cm. At widest points. Wool pile hand knotted onto cotton foundations with wefts dyed light blue as is usual.
