London City Antiques has dated this Burr Walnut Centre Table to the 1860s.
Each of the four sweeping legs is beautifully hand carved with flowing acanthus leaf decoration and scroll feet, showcasing the quality of the cabinet maker's craftsmanship. The combination of the richly figured burr walnut and deeply carved base creates a table of remarkable presence and refinement.

Designed to tilt for storage when not in use, the table can be easily positioned upright against a wall, a highly practical Victorian feature that also allows the spectacular burr walnut top to be admired as a decorative focal point.

Equally suited as a centre table, breakfast table, library table, entrance hall table or intimate dining table seating four to six people comfortably, this is an elegant and highly versatile piece which would complement both period and modern interiors.

A particularly fine Victorian burr walnut table of outstanding quality, displaying exceptional timber and superb hand carved detail throughout.
Condition
Excellent antique condition with age-related wear, minor marks and patination consistent with age and use. The table is solid, sturdy, tilts correctly and is ready for everyday use.
