Oversize Garrus Carpet 540x350 Cm

Description

An antique Bijar carpet of impressive proportions and the beautiful Garrus field design synonymous with the North West Persian Town it was woven in around 140 years ago.

All wool construction, these are known as the Iron carpet, incredibly heavy and hard wearing.

Despites old age, this example shows just light wear, with one or two small faded repairs.

It has been freshly washed and had all its ends and sides newly secured.
