Victorian Mahogany Stick Barometer

A Victorian mahogany stick barometer with engraved silvered dial by highly regarded maker Orchard of Kensington, London; in full working order c.1880. The solid mahogany case with moulded edge arched top, slim simple trunk and turned bulbous cistern cover to the base. Silvered scale with twin vernier marker and the original large mercury action barometer tube to the centre of the scale and visible to the trunk. Superb quality and condition, the case with a rich colour and original patina, the movement fully serviced and working. Keep up to date via Instagram - sturmansantiques. Measures 35" long x 5" maximum width x 3.5" wide at the trunk x 3" maximum depth at cistern cover and 1" depth at trunk.

Smaller items are shipped by Royal Mail Special Delivery, which includes insurance for the item whilst in transit and a guaranteed tracked delivery.

We are happy to make initial arrangements for worldwide shipments on your behalf. However, please note that the shipping payment is made by you the customer directly with the shippers.
