A golden oak Art Nouveau monks bench dating to c.1900, featuring a hinged backrest that folds forward to create a table surface. The shaped side supports are pierced with stylised foliate motifs, typical of the period’s decorative vocabulary. The seat lifts to reveal a generous storage compartment, framed by fielded panels to the front and sides. Sturdy square legs complete the design, combining practical storage with adaptable seating in a single piece.
