S and S Timms Antiques Ltd has dated this French Gilt Wall Mirror to the Victorian era.
The frame is well carved and detailed without being overly fussy, resulting in a look which could be utilised in a wide variety of different settings and schemes.
The mirror is also a good size, big enough to be noticed, but not so big that it is totally dominant, which in combination with the elegant arched top adds to the myriad of different places this mirror could be hung.
Overall the condition is good, with just the expected old marks, scuffs and repairs for a mirror of this age, but certainly nothing visually displeasing or unpleasant in that respect. Also the attractive bevelled mirror plate is almost certainly original but remains in very good condition.
