A most charming early 18th century George I oak dressing table / lowboy, or simply used as a side table.
c1720.
Of solid oak pegged construction, having much character, patina and aged charm, to this very lovely old piece.
The two plank top has a moulded edge. Below is an arrangement of three thick pine lined drawers. The centre drawer being compartmented. And wonderfully retaining the original engraved, split pin backed, brass handles.
The front of the table is particularly lovely, having a charming carved shaped apron.
Standing on cabriole legs with pad feet.
In very strong and robust condition, good solid and heavy. Having knocks, bumps and losses to the oak which are extremely historical, as they are smooth and have developed an aged patina.
Overall full of history, charm and character.
