A large, superb and very decorative original antique French clock by the famous maker A.D. Mougin. It is boldly modelled in the Rococo style in finely gilded bronze.
To the top is a large elaborate final of a stylised flaming lamp. A pieced panel to the front allows a glimpse of the pendulum gently swinging within.

The dial is porcelain enamel on copper with its original finely fretted gilt brass hands and convex glass.
The French movement is of high quality and is by A. D. Mougin. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is an old replacement. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright with hardly any wear or discolouration. The dial is also very good with no damage. the original glass has some marks and small scratches.
