Gillers Antiques Ltd has dated this French Porcelain Figural Figurine to the 19th Century.
Porcelain figurine of a young barefoot woman with a sickle harvesting wheat. Hand painted and gilded. A fine example of the high art in style of the famous French porcelain manufacturer. Beautiful figurine entirely decorated by hand.
The attractive vintage Vion & Baury style hand-painted figurine is in excellent condition and undamaged. The colours are sharp and vibrant and the extra fine artwork is evident from top to bottom. The base is unmarked.

This figure is a complete replica of the famous Vion & Baury model.
It can be assumed that Vion & Baury sold the mould of this figure to one of the small Parisian companies and they cast and painted this figure.

And if this figurine had the Vion & Baury mark on it, we could say that it is their figurine.
