What subjects are most common?

Landscapes, cityscapes, abstract compositions, and still lifes featuring flowers or fruit form the core subjects. Portraiture and animal studies also feature prominently among the paintings. These varied themes reflect the diverse output of artists working during the mid-century decades.

How should I care for a framed oil painting?

Keep the artwork away from direct sunlight and fluctuating temperatures to protect both the canvas and the wooden frame. Dust the surface gently with a soft, dry cloth without applying moisture or cleaning agents. Professional framing conservation ensures the longevity of older canvas and board supports.
