How do I hang a heavy chandelier?

These large fixtures require secure anchoring into ceiling joists using rated steel fixings capable of supporting the combined weight of cast metal and crystal. Professional electrical installation is recommended to handle the weight safely and manage multi-arm wiring configurations.

Were these lights originally electric?
