Heals 1930’s Antique Garden Bench Seat with Label

A rare version of a Heals antique teak garden bench seat that is in superb, solid and intact condition. Made from decommissioned teak taken from the H.M.S. Ganges, the Heals teak bench has the brass label with the information. This is a rare version with a slatted back rest, seat and arm supports, there are shaped brackets under the seat and the bench stands on square legs. This is a wonderful example in such sturdy and complete condition.

This Heals garden bench seat originates from the 1930 period and is constructed from decommissioned teak sourced from the H.M.S. Ganges. The dark brown timber finish displays minor surface wear, including slight scuff marks on the lower square legs and frame edges. The piece incorporates a high rectangular backrest with vertical slats, flat armrests fitted with interior vertical slats, and shaped wooden brackets positioned beneath the slatted seat. A brass manufacturer label is affixed to the upper central rail of the backrest. The furniture item measures 81 cm in height, 137 cm in width, and 59 cm in depth.
