Jewellery Addiction has dated this Scottish Silver Agate Brooch to the 1850s.

Scottish jewellery grew in popularity in the mid- 1800s as Queen Victoria’s frequent trips to her Scottish Castle Balmoral saw her return with Scottish souvenirs and jewellery which influenced the trend in Britain.

It’s a great collector’s piece and a beautiful antique treasure.

Age: Victorian. (Circa 1850 – 1870)
Condition: Good - Some wear to the settings and the engraving has faded a little over time.
