Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Silver tankards and mugs have been crafted since the medieval era as symbols of status and social hospitality, with design features evolving through the Georgian and Victorian periods to include intricate geometric engraving and beaded borders.

These drinking vessels are constructed from sterling silver sheets or raised using traditional silversmithing techniques, frequently decorated with bright-cut engraving, chased patterns, and cast handles featuring beaded detail.

Authentic British pieces bear official assay hallmarks indicating the standard mark, town mark, date letter, and makers mark, accompanied by era-appropriate design characteristics such as geometric bands and hand-applied trim.

An antique silver mug can be repurposed as a desktop pen holder, styled as a small vase for floral stems, or displayed alongside barware inside a glass cabinet or on a sideboard.

Clean using a soft cloth paired with a specialised silver polish formulated to remove tarnish while preserving surface patina and detailed engraving, avoiding abrasive cleansers or dishwashers.
