George IV Silver Christening Tankard 1827

This superb GEORGIAN SILVER CHRISTENING TANKARD was made by the well-known and sought-after silversmiths of T. Cox Savory in 1827.

This fabulous Silver Tankard has an all-over floral decoration and a handle shaped as a serpent entwined on a branch making this a very unusual and eye-catching piece.

With a large blank cartouche and free from any added engravings, initials or monograms, this super Silver Christening Tankard is in excellent condition despite being almost 200 years old and would make a fabulous Christening Gift or would enhance any Silver collection.
