A fine exhibition quality 19th century French centre table in kingwood and tulip wood with exquisite marquetry and parquetry inlay. The serpentine shaped top having an ormolu edge and centred by an ebony ground oval panel with fine floral inlay and bordered by kingwood cross banding with further floral marquetry and parquetry. The serpentine shaped frieze with conforming inlay and shaped drawer which has a working lock with keys. This stunning centre table or bureau platt is supported on elegant cabriole legs with quality ormolu mounts and terminating in sabots. Condition- very good with vibrant colours and pen work.
