Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Edwardian scent bottles from this period often combined cut glass with sterling silver mounts, frequently incorporating inlaid tortoiseshell or guilloche enamel lids. These vanity items were produced as luxury dressing table accessories during the early 1900s.

These bottles typically feature hand-cut crystal or clear glass bases fitted with sterling silver rims and stoppers. The lids often incorporate natural tortoiseshell inlaid with sterling silver or pique work details.

Authentic pieces feature full British hallmarks stamped on the silver rim or lid, indicating the maker, assay office, silver purity mark, and date letter. The glass usually exhibits hand-cut faceting and precise fitting for the stopper.

Antique scent bottles are ideal for display on modern dressing tables, bathroom vanity trays, or glass shelves. Grouping bottles of varying heights creates a curated decorative focal point.

Clean glass gently with lukewarm water and mild soap, avoiding immersion of the silver or tortoiseshell elements. Polish the silver rim using a soft silver cloth, avoiding abrasive cleaners that could damage inlaid tortoiseshell or glass surfaces.
