Fine Quality 19th C Chinese Hardwood Marble Top Plant Stand

Description

As part of our oriental collection we are pleased to offer this fine and crisp quality medium height Chinese hardwood plant or vase stand , made from Honghmu or a simillar rosewood in about 1890-1900 , the hexagonal shaped top inset with a rouge marble surrounded by a beaded border , the four carved and swept legs are united by a lower decorative cross stretcher for strength and joined at the top by a heavily carved ornate pierced frieze to all sides , much better than the average stand.

The condition is great , there are a few age related useage marks and a minor slither of wood chipped at the top edge (see photo four) super strong and ready for immediate use .
