Black Forest Bear Two-seat Bench

Description

A truly unique and captivating carved wood bench featuring two large, intricately carved bears at either end, this bench is a rare example of the highly sought-after Black Forest bear style.

Each end of the bench is held by a standing bear, masterfully hand-carved from solid wood and finished in a distressed ivory coloured paint.

The bears are depicted in upright poses, arms outstretched to support the seat between them.

The backrest is a masterpiece in itself, designed with pierced carvings of intertwining branches and hand-painted green leaves. Nestled at the centre of the backrest is a charming baby bear, also carved in wood, standing playfully while holding a branch in each paw.

The seat is spacious enough for two and is comfortably proportioned for use .

In very good strong solid condition.
