The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this Antique Silver Pocket Watch to the 1920s.
The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch measures 49mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside both of the case backs for Birmingham 1922 with a case maker’s mark for Aaron Dennison. The Dennison Watch Case Company manufactured cases for imported watch movements in an attempt to avoid hefty import tariffs on precious metals. The case is in good condition, one small “ding” to the bezel, and a hint of unevenness to the back.
The acrylic lens is in good condition.
The dial is signed with the name of the original retailer, Chas Fish of Kingsland and Stoke Newington, a company still trading today. The dial is in beautiful condition with original hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute track.
The watch comes in a vintage Dennison cardboard box.
