Small Proportion Regency Mahogany Bracket Clock

A fine quality small proportioned Regency period single fusee bracket clock with figured mahogany brass and inlaid case; fully restored and working c.1830. The small proportioned case with superb figured mahogany veneers and a stepped top, which forms a cornice with a turned and reeded crown above. Dial to the center with gilded brass trim sat immediately below the cornice and above the bowed apron to the base. The bowed base with decorative scroll design inlays sat above small brass bun feet. Brass fish scale design fretted panels with silk behind to each side of the case and a glazed hinged door to the rear. Convex painted dial with Roman numerals and the makers name Thomas Hall, Liverpool. The dial sat behind a convex glass, which is set in a cast brass bezel with hinged opening. The single fusee 8 day movement with anchor escapement is original to the case and movement, and is fully overhauled, serviced and working. An unusually small bracket clock which is small enough to sit on most mantlepieces; presented in excellent condition with a rich colour and polish. For clocks and barometers bought from us, we also offer a setting up service by our trained personnel (local deliveries only).

Smaller items are shipped by Royal Mail Special Delivery, which includes insurance for the item whilst in transit and a guaranteed tracked delivery.

Packing and postage charges for mainland UK are shown for most items on this website. Where an item is large or requires specialist delivery, please contact us with your postcode for a specific door-to-door delivery quote.

Through our trusted international shippers we will source the most competitive quote for delivery to your door. All items are wrapped and packed by the specialist shippers.

We are happy to make initial arrangements for worldwide shipments on your behalf. However, please note that the shipping payment is made by you the customer directly with the shippers. The shipping contract is therefore between you the customer and the shippers (not Sturmans Antiques). We therefore recommend that customers obtain adequate insurance for each item prior to shipment, to cover them in the event of any loss or damage in transit.
