Sturmans Antiques has dated this Regency Mahogany Bracket Clock to the Regency era.
Dial to the center with gilded brass trim sat immediately below the cornice and above the bowed apron to the base. The bowed base with decorative scroll design inlays sat above small brass bun feet. Brass fish scale design fretted panels with silk behind to each side of the case and a glazed hinged door to the rear. Convex painted dial with Roman numerals and the makers name Thomas Hall, Liverpool. The dial sat behind a convex glass, which is set in a cast brass bezel with hinged opening. The single fusee 8 day movement with anchor escapement is original to the case and movement, and is fully overhauled, serviced and working. An unusually small bracket clock which is small enough to sit on most mantlepieces; presented in excellent condition with a rich colour and polish.
