Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Georgian brass candlesticks typically date from the 18th to early 19th century and feature classical proportioning, cast motifs, and turned central stems. Stylistic elements such as eagle forms, spherical knops, and circular drip pans reflect the neoclassicism of the era.

Period brass candlesticks were generally cast in multiple sections using sand moulds and joined together using a central threaded rod or solder. High copper content in historic brass alloys gives the metal a deep yellow-gold tone.

Authentic period examples often feature visible seam lines, hand-chased surface details, and evidence of hand-finishing on the undersides. Minor irregularities in weight and casting texture between a pair indicate traditional manufacturing methods.

Placing brass candlesticks on a dining table, mantelpiece, or sideboard introduces warm metallic tones and historic texture to modern spaces. They function effectively as classical accents in both traditional and minimalist interior schemes.

Clean brass using a soft cloth with mild soap and warm water to remove surface dust, drying thoroughly afterwards. Avoid harsh chemical polishes or abrasive pads that can remove natural age patination or damage hand-chased details.
