~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~
The clock is raised upon a cushion-shaped base, beautifully modelled with flowing forms that evoke the movement of the sea, with stylised mythical sea creatures emerging to form the scrolling feet. Above, a bold gadrooned support rises like a cresting wave, carrying the drum case, which is framed by elaborate openwork scrolls.

Above, a bold gadrooned support rises like a cresting wave, carrying the drum case, which is framed by elaborate openwork scrolls. These finely chased mounts, reminiscent of swirling sea spray, frame the dial of gilt bronze, mounted with twelve individual enamel cartouches and fitted with blued steel hands, harmonising elegantly with the richly worked surround. The rear bezel is also glazed to allow the movement to be seen.

The French movement is of high quality and is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is original. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. We have a video of the clock, please ask and we will send you a link.

Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright with hardly any wear or discolouration. The dial is also in excellent condition with just some very slight marks.

Complete with original pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
