An impressive rosewood pedestal desk of wonderful quality and excellent craftsmanship.

This fine desk features an arrangement of nine mahogany-lined drawers, the polished interiors being a clear sign of superior construction and attention to detail. Each drawer is fitted with stylish brass pull handles, complementing the rich tone of the rosewood.

The desk is raised upon elegant turned and fluted legs, retaining its original castors, allowing for ease of movement while maintaining period charm.

The top is inset with a fitted green leather writing surface (replacement), beautifully finished with hand-applied gilt and blind tooling. Solid brass mouldings adorn both the top and drawer fronts, further enhancing the desk’s refined appearance.

Free-standing and presented in good condition, this is a striking and practical piece suitable for both traditional and contemporary interiors.
