Philip Hunt Antiques has dated this William IV Rosewood Davenport to the 19th Century.
Raised on bun feet and a plinth base, the piece features carved and shaped supports that add to its decorative appeal.

To the right-hand side is an arrangement of four mahogany-lined drawers, surmounted by a useful pen tray. The writing slope is fitted with a replacement leather surface, finished with hand-applied gilt and blind tooling, offering a classic writing area.

The slope lifts to reveal a well-appointed interior in beautifully figured bird’s eye maple, providing compartments for storage and organisation. The piece is further enhanced by a decorative brass gallery to the top.
A refined and attractive example, presented in good overall condition.
