Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

A Victorian games sewing table is a dual-purpose piece of occasional furniture popular in late 19th-century homes, designed to store needlework equipment while featuring an inlaid top for board games such as chess or draughts.

These tables were typically crafted from cabinet woods such as walnut, rosewood, or mahogany, often featuring decorative marquetry or parquetry inlays made from boxwood, holly, or fruitwood.

Authentic pieces generally display hand-cut dovetail joints inside the work box, hand-carved pedestal columns with tripod legs, natural timber wear, and fine geometric or floral timber inlays.

Position the table in a reading nook, bay window, or alongside an armchair as an accent side table, allowing the decorative top inlay to serve as a focal point.

Keep the timber away from direct heat sources and sunlight to prevent veneer lift. Dust regularly with a soft cloth and apply a high-quality beeswax polish periodically to nourish the wood finish.
