In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

The Arts and Crafts movement emerged in the late 19th century as a reaction against industrial manufacturing, emphasising traditional craftsmanship, simple forms, and the natural qualities of materials like oak.

Antique hall stands from this period were predominantly constructed from solid hardwoods such as oak, often complemented by metalwork fittings such as brass hooks and copper or zinc drip trays.

Authentic pieces typically feature period construction methods, traditional joinery, genuine age-related patination on the timber, and period-appropriate metal hooks and fixtures without modern screws.

An antique hall stand serves as a functional and sculptural entryway piece, providing practical storage while introducing historical character and natural wood textures into modern hallways.

Maintain antique oak by dusting with a soft, dry cloth and periodically applying a traditional beeswax to nourish the wood, avoiding silicone-based polishes and keeping the piece away from direct heat sources.
