A handsome late 17th century Charles II oak chest of drawers, in original condition.
C.1680.

Retaining the original brass escutcheons, iron locks and charming scroll brass drop-handles.
The top drawer also retains its original security locking drawer system, which opens from beneath in the second drawer, which is very charming, showing the lovely original hand made nails.

The oak has developed a rich warm colour and characterful patina over the many centuries.
Standing on the original stile feet.
In excellent antique condition. Very solid sturdy and strong, with each drawer being very solid and strong and opening smoothly and easily. Expected signs of age.
