Does have low pile with wear. End losses. Bit of side cord loss in places. But a classic persian rug for just £295. U.k post £20.

Doroksh rugs originate from the Khorasan region in north-eastern Persia, produced in surrounding villages near Meshhed. These woven textiles gained prominence during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries for their refined knotting techniques and distinctive repeating patterns.

Doroksh rugs are traditionally hand-knotted using soft, high-grade wool pile tied onto a durable cotton warp and weft foundation. Dyes were historically derived from natural plant and mineral sources to achieve characteristic shades of crimson, navy, and cream.

Authentic pieces feature asymmetrical Persian knots, fine weave density, and soft wool texture. Design indicators include repeating boteh or paisley field motifs, intricate multi-banded floral borders, and natural colour variations known as abrash.
