A Victorian sewing box on stand, with finely executed Tunbridge ware marquetry in geometric patterning. The hinged lid opens to reveal a fitted interior lined in red fabric with multiple lift-out compartments, while a pleated silkwork basket is suspended beneath the drawer. Raised on a turned support and four splayed legs with brass claw castors. This decorative piece combines practical storage with intricate inlay craftsmanship and would suit use as an occasional table or accent piece in a bedroom or study. British, circa 1860.
