Where to begin! What an armchair! This piece is super rare, I have only ever seen one other example in fabric, this piece is finished in early cattle hide leather upholstery which has been hand dyed from new. The chair sits as a normal library armchair, then the fun begins, you can manually recline the back in one of around 8 sitting positions, the arms disconnected and slide down meaning you can exit the chair from either side, at the front under the seat base pulls out a height and angel adjustable footrest, lastly the seat is height adjustable at the front. This chair can lay totally flat and be used as a bed

Condition wise, the piece was sent to my cabinet maker and French polisher to have the mechanism fully restored, the timber has then been waxed back and lightly French polished, the leather is in fine order so has been left how it is apart from a clean wax and polish

Dimensions for the armchair
