Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Mid-Century jewellery from the 1950s often features bold, architectural forms with strong geometric proportions. Designers favoured yellow gold settings combined with high-grade coloured gemstones and accent diamonds to create structured statement pieces.

These rings typically feature natural Ceylon sapphires, renowned for their vibrant cornflower-to-royal-blue hues. The settings are constructed from yellow gold or platinum, often incorporating brilliant-cut or baguette diamonds along the shoulders to accentuate the central stone.

Authentic period pieces exhibit hand-finished metalwork, era-appropriate precious metal hallmarks, and substantial weight due to solid gold construction. The gemstone cuts and setting techniques, such as heavy bezel mountings and geometric channel settings, reflect mid-century manufacturing methods.

A substantial cocktail ring is designed to be worn as a standalone statement piece, typically on the right hand. Its structured architectural profile complements both tailored evening wear and minimalist contemporary attire.

Clean the setting using warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft-bristled brush to remove dust from around the stone settings. Store the ring individually in a soft fabric pouch to prevent diamonds or harder gems from scratching the gold band.
