A superb 18thc burr elm / elm candlestand in completely original condition and displaying a wonderful colour and patina after 1 waxing .
The table has the shoes carved out of single pieces of wood on the legs.
The duke of atholl who at one stage ,owned the island had a few of these tables made in the 18thcentury out of native scottish woods for himself at blair atholl and his residence on the island.
