Clockwise has dated this Raf Fusee Dial Clock to the 1940s.
Genuine examples of this clock are becoming increasingly hard to find, especially in this condition. The rectangular plate anchor escapement movement has just benefitted from a full overhaul so the clock enjoys a three year guarantee.

The lovingly restored 14 inch dial carries the RAF insignia and is in superb condition, complimented by original spade hands behind a heavy original spun brass bezel which retains its original tab to be locked in place by the smaller tab to the rear of the case frontage.

The mahogany case is of a standard two piece pegged construction with a solid mahogany fascia attached to its original rear box. There is a side inspection door and the rear box contains a lower door with its original working lock and key

Ultimately this is a lovely piece of war-time history in excellent condition and ready for its new home.
