Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

An RAF fusee dial clock is a mechanical wall clock commissioned by the British Royal Air Force, traditionally manufactured during the early-to-mid 20th century. Featuring a fusee movement, these timepieces utilised a conical pulley system to equalize the force of the mainspring for precise timekeeping.

These clocks typically feature a solid mahogany or oak outer surround, a cast brass bezel, and a painted sheet-iron dial. The internal movement is constructed from brass plates, steel arbors, and a gut string or steel chain.

Authentic military dial clocks feature heavy cast brass bezels, hand-painted Roman numerals on metal dials, and wooden surrounds joined with pegs or dovetails. Look for official military insignia, such as the Royal Air Force crest or a broad arrow stamp, printed on the dial face or movement.

Position the clock centrally on a neutral wall in a hallway, study, or above a sideboard to serve as an architectural focal point. Pairing it alongside minimalist artwork or contemporary timber furniture creates a balanced contrast between period craftsmanship and modern lines.

Keep the clock positioned away from direct sunlight, central heating radiators, and damp environments to prevent the timber surround from warping. Ensure the mechanical movement is professionally serviced, cleaned, and lubricated every five to seven years by a horologist.
