Chalfont Clocks has dated this Gilt Brass Carriage Clock to the 1860s.
The white enamel roman dial with Breguet style moon hands is in unblemished condition, as it the entire clock with only minor wear to the gilding commensurate with age.

This clock would have been made in Paris in the 1860’s by one of the main carriage clock producers for another retailer. Although we cannot find a makers mark, the platform is stamped F.R. and there are striking similarities between this clock on others by Henri Jacot.
All of our clocks come with a two year guarantee.
