Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Originating in France during the early-to-mid 18th century, the Rococo commode is characterised by expressive asymmetrical scrollwork, serpentine forms, cabriole legs, and hand-carved details incorporating natural motifs such as shells and foliage.

Cabinetmakers favoured fine European hardwoods such as walnut, oak, and kingwood, incorporating hand-carved decorative aprons, solid drawer linings, and cast brass or gilt bronze hardware.

Authentic period pieces feature hand-cut dovetail joints, hand-planed timber surfaces, irregular back boards, natural wood shrinkage across the grain, and genuine oxidisation on original metalwork.

An antique commode functions as a focal point in a hallway or living space, creating visual impact when paired with modern artwork, simple ceramics, and neutral wall tones.

Dust surfaces using a clean microfibre cloth and apply a clear beeswax polish annually to nourish the wood finish, maintaining stable humidity levels away from direct heat sources.
