Georgian Oak Blanket Box Trunk W. Sharp

Description

This well-made GEORGIAN OAK BLANKET BOX TRUNK dates from circa 1830.

It bears the name W.SHARP in brass stud work on the top of the lid. The OAK CANDLEBOX slides along runners to reveal a hidden compartment beneath.

The BOX has a chestnut bottom, well-cut dovetail joints and original metalwork. It has a polished back so can be free-standing in a room and used as a coffee table, if required.
