This is an antique 4-drawer lowboy. An English, oak and walnut correspondence desk, dating to the Georgian period and later, circa 1750.
 
Charming small table, with great colour and attractive craftsmanship
 
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
 
Select oak stocks present fine grain interest and wisps of medullary rays
 
Graced with rich caramel hues throughout, beneath a wax polish finish
 
Wide top enhanced with delightful burr walnut borders
 
Arrangement of four drawers to the fascia with natural oak boxes
 
Each drawer dressed with brass drop handles over shaped backplates
