A Fantastic Boulle Clock

Description

A fantastic serpentine shaped red Boulle clock made by Japy Freres and retailed by Howell and James, Paris, C.1880, with mask head mounts, finial of bowl of fruit and vines, the brass fretting to the front, sides, back and pediment. The eight-day movement engraved with the retailer to the backplate together with the Japy Freres cartouche and striking the hours and half hours on a bell. All in excellent order throughout and professionally serviced.
