French Louis Xiv Style Boulle Mantel Clock

An extremely good quality French Louis XIV style ebonised black antique mantel or table clock with boulle red coloured tortoise shell and engraved brass inlay to the case. The clock has boulle columns to the front corners finished with bronze gilt capitals, boulle domed shaped top with torch finials, pierced fretted panels and glass windows to the sides.

The clock has brass dial with Roman numerals on velvet background with females playing the trumpet. The movement is a French eight day which strikes the hours and half hours on a gong

The clock movement has been cleaned and serviced and comes with a 12 month guarantee.
