Classic Parisian Boulle Mantel Clock with Rare Bracket

Description

A fine French 'Boulle' mantel clock , striking hourly and half hourly on a coiled gong. The gilt dial with 12 vitreous enamelled number cartouches showing Roman numerals, polished blued steel hands and a cast brass decorative bezel surround. The case is typical of Boulle work, after Andre-Charles Boulle and has a good level of detail, it is worth noting this is the model with 'Boulle' decoration on the sides too. Standing on 'C' scroll bracket feet and a fine cast gilded finial to the top . Made in Paris around 1880 stamped A.D.Mougin who won two gold medals at exhibitions in France for their clockmaking. Truly stunning example. It is worth noting that all our clocks have had a full dismantle / overhaul unlike many others for sale online and carry a full 12 month Guarantee in writing , which adds to the value and longevity of this fine clock .
