Where should I place a floor candelabrum?

Floor-standing candelabra work best in corners, beside fireplaces, or framing architectural doorways. Their substantial height makes them natural focal points in rooms with high ceilings. Ensure they stand on a level surface away from heavy foot traffic. Their weight provides stability, but their height requires careful placement.

How do I clean antique brass candle stands?

Dust brass stands regularly with a soft, dry cloth to prevent the buildup of grime. Avoid aggressive metal polishes that strip away the historical patina accumulated over centuries. If cleaning is necessary, use a mild, non-abrasive soap solution and dry thoroughly. Preserving the natural dark tones is generally preferred by collectors over a bright, mirror-like shine.

Are these candle stands safe to use with real wax?

Real wax candles can be used safely if the stand is stable and placed away from drafts. Pricket spikes hold tapers securely, but drip trays or protective plates underneath catch falling wax. Many owners also choose to use high-quality LED replica candles to avoid wax mess and fire risks. This approach allows the visual impact of the historic stand without maintenance concerns.
