Description

An absolutely beautiful Regency three-seater garden bench in wrought-iron. This well-designed example, from a lovely country estate, is in original untouched condition that can be enjoyed for years exactly as it is. The eight-slat seat plus front bar and back bar is far better proportioned and comfortable than most examples on the market. The gracefully curved arms and leg supports have cross stretchers and swan-neck ties beneath the seat for added strength, and the backrest is comprised of interlaced ellipses with hooped details below. It is English, dating from c.1820.
