Oliver Sargent Antiques has dated this Meiji Satsuma Pottery Vase to the 1890s.
Both panels are set between various flowerheads, above a band of decorative birds above waves. The vase is fully signed to the base, including the Kinkozan impressed mark. The vase stands approx. 14.8cm high and undamaged with only slight rubbing in a couple of areas of the seeded ground. The rim with original slight firing flaw as shown in the pics. The vase has been fully checked with ultra-violet lighting and very high magnification, and I can confirm the vase is without any damage or restoration. A very fine example from the Kinkozan workshop. Price £1795.00 inclusive of shipping to within the UK.
