Description

A rather lovely 18th C. Oak Settle with a rope strung base and long seat cushion. With curved arms, front stretcher and a four panel (slightly slanted) back it is a good solid piece of furniture.

The Oak has a lovely patina and does show signs of wear, as would be expected from a piece of furniture that has a long history of domestic use. The original rope strung base has been replaced with new rope and the seat cushion replaced during it's lifetime.
