Description

A very good pair of early Victorian Richard Bridgens style carved oak breakfront open bookcases.

The rectangular moulded and carved egg and dart edged top having a cushion moulded stepped up stands above the beaded friezes with carved capitals.The central panelled doors with applied scrolls and flanked by spirally turned pilasters and open to 3 adjustable shelves. The open sections having adjustable shelves with carved corbels and fluted stiles and both raised on breakfront plinth bases. Condition- Very good, with working locks & keys. Dimensions:- Max.Height…48’’/ 122cm. Width…62.5’’/ 159cm. Max.Depth…13’’/ 33cm.
